A Surprise, A Birthday & An Engagement!

WHY do the weekends always go by so fast?!?!

Five days to look forward to them, and then they just fly right on by!

We had a great weekend chock full of fun!

My sister surprised us (she's in the Army, stationed a few hours away!) with a visit to see her favorite niece!

They played a few rounds of cards, with stuffed animals for an audience!

We belatedly celebrated my little brothers birthday! He is all about the marines!

Audrie didn't want a picture with the birthday boy because she said he looked too funny...... HA!

We went to my best friends house this weekend.......and she got a HUGE surprise! I love the complete look of shock on her face...priceless!

He popped the question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And she said YES!!!

Her gorgeous ring, that he picked out all by himself! We are SO happy for them!!

Congrats Garrett & Stefani, we love y'all!! =)

Girls Night Out!

Stefani (my BFF) and I decided that once a month we needed to have a girls night out. A night devoted to just us as the girls, and not as Mom's! So.......

My bestie and I joined a Bunco (don't know what it is? Google it, and TRUST me, you will love it!) group, with a great group of women! This week we had our first game....OMG, we had so much fun!

We talked (and YES, those are plates they are wearing around their necks!) and laughed.....

We had to explain just how to "grab" your Bunco!!

Stef, and the CUTEST little baby! She was so good (the baby, not Stef! HA!) all night!

And this little sweetie! I thought he was just the cutest thing, and SOOO sweet!

We had an awesome night hanging out and playing. I'm so glad we decided to join! Happy weekend all!

This has already been such a great year! I've discovered a few new things that I just can't live without. So....... I thought I would share just a few things I'm lovin' already in 2012!

Of course this sweet little girl is my favorite! ;) But, where I get her shirts from for ALL the holidays, and just some fun ones in between is from It's All About Monogramming and Embroidery!!!!! Check her out, she is seriously amazing!

The new mexican restaurant in town, Los Cabos!! YUM-O!!!! AND they have an awesome sauce margarita called the Texas Two Step!

My hubs picked this up for me the other day by accident. I am SO glad he did because it is great! ALMOST like going to Starbucks! HA, not that close but it is really good! :)

My current fav Scentsy smell, Toasted Apple Butter! OMG, delicious! It's not available for order any more, but if you find some, GET IT.....you will love it!

Not much has been going on around here! My camera is being FUNKY, it's got little black spots all over the lens and I just can't get it off!! Oh well, it will have to do for now!

Today is my sweet little brothers 17th Birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!!! We love you so much!

My sweet baby girl and her puppy Ace! When she is home, this dog will NOT leave her side!!!

This is Heidi & Orville Thompson! They own Scentsy, Inc.!! We had Spring Sprint on Wednesday and the owners of the company came! I thought that was so cool!! They are such nice, down to earth people!

This is me with Joal, the VP of Scentsy United States!! Such a funny guy, and very personable! I had a blast and am SO excited about what Scentsy is doing this year! Lots of new and exciting stuff!

Grandparent Valentine's Craft!

I love being crafty with my sweet little girl! We decided that instead of store bought Valentine's gifts, we would make them for her Grandparents! I think they turned out AWESOME!

She LOVED every minute of it! :)

For her Granny! Super easy, just did her handprints on a piece of cardboard and then cut it out in a heart shape. Wrote a sweet message,attached a piece of ribbon for display! VOILA....cheap, cute and super special gift!

For her Ya-Ya & Paw Paw we made this! I love this one, it's just so cute! Same thing, just a piece of cardboard, some paint and some precious little hands and feet!

So proud of her work! I am sure the Grandparents will love it, especially because it was handmade with love from their precious Granddaughter!

Butterfly Valentine's craft!

So, I've been pinning things on Pinterest for a while now.....And there are so many crafts I want to do with A! So, we had some unexpected free time and we decided to get a little crafty!! :) I found my inspiration HERE!

I pulled out every color paint that we have and decided to let her pick whatever color made her little heart happy! So, naturally she picked pink, HA!

I told her to paint the whole toilet tissue tube pink. She thought it was so weird that we were using a tissue roll! :)

I let her pick the color of her wings, and cut them out as big letter B's! Hey, gotta get in a little learning too!

After the roll dried, I hot glued (although you could also use Elmers!) on the wings and the "crazy" eyes.

We didn't have any pipe cleaners, so I used some paper straws we had left from a recent party. We glued on a couple rhinestones so she would look a little girly! :)

And here she is, Ms. Dottie! I think she turned out super cute, and even the hubs thought it was really neat! So now, Dottie is displayed amid our conversation hearts and all ready for Valentines Day!

Audrie won these cupcakes at the benefit!! They were as delicious as they look!!

Saturday we went to my best friends little girl one year birthday party!! Here she is eating her cupcake! :)

Our weekend was great! We said goodbye to my cousin, who is leaving for the Navy tomorrow morning!We played Just Dance 3 for hours, laughed, ate, laughed, played Wahoo, and laughed some more! I love my family, and truly cherish the times when we all get together!

We woke up bright and early to head to cousin Michael's Bon-Voyage party! Doesn't my baby girl look so GROWN up here?!?! I can't believe in 3 months she will be FIVE!

Sunday was a lazy day. We went for breakfast and came home and vegged out! Audrie and Ace were worn out! HA! (and YES, she sucks her thumb!)

On our way to school this morning! All she could talk about was going to her "new" gymnastics! We signed her up at a new place because we didn't feel like they were learning much at the old one! She loves it, and so do the hubs and I! Have a great week, everyone! =)

This weekend was nice, we spent it just hanging out around the house!! It's always nice to have just some time to hang and relax, especially after the crazy busy holiday season! :)

Texas is FINALLY getting some GOOD soaking rain!! Audrie was all ready

I picked these up yesterday.....I'm thinking a Valentine's craft is in order!

I'll have to hit up Pinterest and see what I can find! :)

Family Fun Day!

HaPpY nEw YeAr everyone!! Our NYE was spent with some great friends. We had so much fun! This year, the hubs and I decided we are going to make a family resolution. So, our new years resolution is to have a game day once a week! :)

We started with Uno Attack! If you have never played this, it is a TON of fun!! Audrie loved pushing the button to see if any cards were going to be shot out at her! :)

She's trying to decide which card to play! The box said 7+ (she's 4-1/2), but it's easy to teach, and it's basically just matching colors and numbers! She did really great!

Then, Audrie wanted to play Elefun! It's an elephant with a really long trunk, that blows out butterflies and you have to catch the most with your net! It's a cute game!

We had an AWESOME day just the 3of us.

I think we picked an awesome resolution, and I know Audrie is most excited about it!

We had a WONDERFUL, beautiful Christmas, full of family and food, and lots of presents!

We left cookies and milk out for Santa!!

The stockings were filled all the way to the top!! :)

Santa left a good little girl a really nice stack of gifts!!

Audrie was SO EXCITED about her bike!! Christmas morning was wet and nasty, so we let her ride it in the house a couple of times!! :)

She got her walking Barbie horse she wanted! She wouldn't hardly be still to let me take any pictures!! Luckily I got all of her reactions on video!! They were priceless! HA!

The Wuggle Pets, the child could hardly contain herself she was so excited! This was by far my favorite year with her because she was so into it and excited about it!

We all got way too many presents, ate WAY too much food, laughed a ton, and just had a generally awesome day! I'm so thankful for all of the wonderful family and friends we have! It's looks like Christmas threw up at my house, but it's OK because we had a great time!!

This week has been crazy Christmas busy! And I love every minute of it! =)

Audrie had her first gymnastics recital this weekend! Although I didn't get many pictures, I did get it on the video camera! :)

All ready to go!! =) Their recital was called Christmas Wishes!

Things are gearing up, and we are in full crazy Christmas mode!! And in the middle of all this, Audrie has decided that we need to have a birthday party for Jesus.....and who am I to deny the child a party for JESUS?!?! ACK, there's so much to do! We are just going to have a cake and punch, and I am actually pretty proud of her for remembering why we actually celebrate CHRISTmas! :)

We took Audrie to see Santa last week.....She'd been talking about it for DAYS....

Audrie and her BFF even talked about what they would say to him, and everything....

And the moment we got to him.....THIS is all she would do, stand next to him! She wanted NOTHING to do with Santa!! HA!!

But, she's still as cute as ever, she just doesn't want to sit on a strange mans lap!

Which, I guess is good, considering we tell her not to talk to strangers!! :)

She wrote her list to Santa yesterday!! I "mailed" it this morning to the North pole! I'm really super excited because GroopDealz had a deal the other week for a "letter" from Santa for like $5! Well, Hello again......It's been quite a while since I've posted! Not a whole lot going on around here though!

Our Halloween was awesome, Audrie went as Alice in Wonderland. She had a great time and we had a TON of kids come through our neighborhood!

It's been cold off and on here in Texas...I wish the weather would just make up it's mind already!

Audrie is loving gymnastics, and they let us watch them last week as they are getting ready for their Christmas show!

She is such a little spit-fire! She wants everything in the world, or at least on TV for Christmas! And now, since we have had several talks about WHY we celebrate Christmas, she wants to make Jesus a birthday cake! HA! We're gearing up for Turkey Day, and I can't wait! It's probably my most favorite holiday in the year!

Fall Festival!!

Audrie's Pre-K had their Annual Fall Fun day this weekend! Audrie had a great time, and they had lots of stuff for the kids to do! It's so funny to me to see what activites she picks, some she didn't want to do at all, others she ran straight to!

She got a tattoo!!! THANK goodness, because at the same booth they also had colored hairspray and I was praying she wouldn't pick that!

I've gotten lots of clothes from Sandra, and they have all been great!

She had a great time at the bounce house!!

I met a couple of really great parents, and we even got a play date set up for the girls!

I love her school, it's full of such awesome people.

The place she was before was a little snooty, but this place is SO much better,

and Audrie is SO much happier!

I'm excited for Halloween, and so is Audrie!

She's been asking since the end of September for it to just be Halloween already! HA!

Rock the Raiders!

We had our town's homecoming parade for our High School last night. Kind of a street "pep rally" if you will. My little brother did the color guard at the beginning of the parade! He did a great job, and we had a lot of fun too! :)

The wind was blowing so hard, my brother said it's hard to hold the flag, march, and keep in sync!

The Varsity Cub football team!! The parade had an 80's theme, Rock the Raiders! They had a lot of cute floats, and all the girls had side ponytails and crazy socks! Audrie thought it was the coolest thing!

My brothers ROTC Captain drove this Charger for the parade! Audrie begged me to take a picture of this, because she said she wants a yellow car! HA! :)

My sister came home this past weekend on a 4 day leave from the Army!! She and I planned together for weeks to surprise our parents and her fiancee!! Needless to say we accomplished the mission on BOTH targets! ;) It was a great weekend had by all!

Georgia Peach......

Sunday I flew into Atlanta, Georgia for work. The weather was gorgeous, and I was so excited to be there!! I stayed at a resort for this conference, and had an absolute blast, and definitely learned a lot! If you are ever by the Atlanta area, I HIGHLY reccomend Lake Lanier Islands Resort!!!! You will not regret it!

I took a tour of the island on a golf cart, and we came across so many beautiful sculptures, and the views....absolutely breathtaking!

They have so much stuff to do here, it's insane! Zip lines, horseback riding, water park, wave pool, restaurants, golf course, boat rentals and SO much more!! It was a great time, but I'm sure glad to be back home to my daughter and husband! :)

Finally, Fall is here!!! I love this time of year!

The cooler weather, all the fab decorations! What more could a girl want?!?!

OK, well besides a gorg diamond ring....

So, despite the Summer-esque weather here in South Texas, the fall decor has come out!

And I have to say, I paticularly L-U-V the way everything looks!

This is my first year to have a "mantel" to decorate, so I really am proud! = )

I love candy corn, just in case you couldn't tell!

I really love my candy corn with the candle in it!

All of this stuff except for the candy corn itself came from Canton.

If you've never been there, you should go NOW!!! They have everything you could ever want and MORE!

Our Weekend!

We had a great weekend of relaxing and spending time together as a family. My Dad is out of the hospital, and my Grandpa got moved to a regular room (out of ICU) so it was really nice. We spent the day painting nails.....

Audrie got fair ready this weekend too, with a new pair of boots, and some new blue jeans! She is so excited about going to the fair, it's all she can talk about! :) And she just had to sleep with her new boots right beside her bed, she didn't want them to be out of her sight! HAHA! We will be going to the fair this week to watch her older sister show, and to ride rides, so it should be fun!

Today was Audrie's first day of Pre-K! I cannot get over how FAST she is growing up!

This is the parent survival kit that the school gave us on the way out from dropping her off! It had a little thing of tissues (to dry your eyes from letting them grow up), a pack of post-it notes (for those important notes to the teacher), a clothespin (for the infamous art work from your tiny artist), some candy (a reward for getting your child to where they are today), and 4 gold stars (for being such an awesome parent! I thought it was really sweet, and made me feel a little better about dropping off my girl! =) How was your kids first day?!

My sister graduated from Army Basic Training this past week!

So, my family and I traveled to Missouri to to celebrate this tremendous milestone!

I couldn't be more proud of her and all she has accomplished!

While we were in Missouri, her boyfriend proposed!! She said YES!!! :) She was super shocked, and really excited! We had a great time visiting, and meeting some of her friends that she's made. She's now on to her AIT training, so it will be another few months before we get to see her again! Rock On EM!!!!

Audrie started at a new preschool yesterday, and she was SO super excited! Here she is as we

were getting ready to walk out the door!!

She had a great first day and was really excited to go back again today!

Such a little beauty! My heart just melts for this child! I love her so much!

And, since we leave in 2 weeks for a road trip to Missouri
to watch my sister graduate from the Army,
I've been scouring the internet trying to find cheap, easy on the road snacks!
And, thanks to Nike at Thrive,
I found several neat, cheap and super easy ways for portable, healthy snacks!!
Audrie will really love the celery and peanut butter! Check it out,

Just a quick update of the past couple weeks in pictures! :)

We had a wonderful 4th, spent with our family!

And the most precious little girl, EVAH!!! :)

The two loves of my life!

As usual, she's always acting goofy. She is now telling me how she wants to pose when I take pictures of her, it's so flippin' funny!

so beautifully for about 2 weeks! Just luscious purple blooms, I was so proud of them!

And that, is about all we've been up to! Hanging out, trying to avoid going outside in the 150 degree weather! It's not really 150, but man it's H-O-T!

Family Vacation!

Despite being in a serious wreck on Thursday,

we had our family vacation this

weekend in Galveston!! We had a BLAST, most especially Audrie!

All in all, a great time was had by everyone and it was super nice to get away for a few days!

Right now at Old Navy, they are having an AWESOME swimsuit sale!!

Most swimsuits are $10 bucks, and some are as cheap as $6.50!!

They even have rashguard suits on sale as well!!

I got one for Audrie, for our beach vacation, for 8 bucks!

My sister, Emilie, left for the Army yesterday.

I am super proud of her

for having the courage to go out and defend our country,

and our freedoms!

I am also a little sad, because it will be a long time before we get to see her again!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a fantastic Memorial Day! Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of pictures with my camera, because I take so many with my phone! Boo to me, I know! :) We went to the 100 Days of Summer Festival at a local church, and then ended up taking a last minute road trip to New Braunfels, and Austin!

Our Easter weekend was awesome!! Spent a lot of time with my family and friends, laughed a lot, reminisced, and just plain had a good time! I love these times, they mean so much to me!

The Cowgirl Bash!

Finally, the big day has come and gone!

Audrie had a super awesome 4th Birthday party!

I think it turned out great!! I didn't get pictures of everything because it was so hectic, and I hate that....but, OH WELL!!

Her invitations.....Thanks to Meredith! She creates cards for just about every party I have!

The food table...I'm in LOVE with how it all came together...simple, but super cute! I got the party banner HERE, and the food tent labels HERE!

Super easy set-up, and very kid friendly food!! I got at least a hundred compliments on the "haystacks"!! And they are so simple to make!! :)

Ok, how cute are the water bottle labels??!! Yes, I LURVE them!! I found them on Ebay, and they are so awesome because they are printed on waterproof labels...They set in the tin bucket the entire party, and never came off, or smeared!! AWESOME investment!! :)

The drinks outside....Audrie thought it was the coolest thing that they were in tin buckets....water in one, and capri sun in the other!! "Adult" beverages in the middle!! This was my most favorite set-up of the whole party! The tin buckets were made by a good friend!

And finally, the party favor bucket.... The mini bandana banner to match the full size one....is that not the CUTEST thing ever!!!! :) LURVE...... The party favor labels are from HERE! They said "Thank y'all for coming to Audrie's Round Up"....they were a HUGE hit!!

There's more pictures, but it's just too hard to choose!! I didn't get pictures of my girl in her outfit, of the kids jumping in the bouncy house, the gift table.....and several other things!! I know, i'm a terrible mother! HA!!

Four years ago today, I gave life to a TRUE MIRACLE! It was truly the best day of my life.... It has been such a joy to watch her grow over the past 4 years! Everyday is an adventure, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

My sweet girl was born 12 weeks early....a true testament of having Faith that God does work miracles!

Such a happy, sweet precious baby girl!

Her laugh and smile has brought me so much joy!!!

She definitely knows how to be a ham!!! HA! :)

She can't wait to celebrate her big day this weekend with a cowgirl birthday bash!!

Happy Birthday Audrie Gene, you are the light of our lives and are so precious to us.

Hudson's Heroes

This weekend we went to a benefit to support a sweet little boy named Hudson, who has Mitochondrial disease. They raised money for research to find a cure for him, and for the other millions of people that it affects!! Audrie had a great time, and so did we!!

Sporting her new "Team Hudson" bracelet!!!

The pink flower balloon that the pretty clown made her!!! She was TERRIFIED of the clown! She screamed so loud! HA! Thats why she's not even smiling!! :)

She got her face painted to look like a kitty!! This was her favorite part of the night! She kept wanting to look in the mirror to make sure it was still on!

Playing the cake walk game!! She finally won, after about $20 worth of trying!! At least we know the money went to an AWESOME cause!!!

Me and my baby girl!! We had such a wonderful time!! We even won a few items in the silent auction!! This is going to be an annual fundraiser, and I hope that we can continue to help support Hudson and his family! I know it surely made me a little more thankful that my sweet baby girl is healthy!! :) All in all it was an awesome weekend, except for the nasty gray rainy days! But, it seems to be stopping now, thank goodness!! :)

Christmas was wonderful around here!!!

Audrie put out milk and cookies for Santa......

She woke up to the one thing she'd been begging for....a Dora Dollhouse!!! She LOVED it! I got her reaction on video, she screamed 3 times, MOMMA, I got it!!! It was the cutest thing! (:

She actually cried because she didn't want to open anything else because she wanted to play with her dollhouse!! HAHA!

She got her digital camera from Santa too! She loves it, and has already taken 200 pictures!! A girl after her Momma's heart!

She also got the Ariel doll she'd been wanting from my Grandma!

Our Family on Christmas day!

Christmas 2010 was awesome!!! We had a great time getting to see all of our extended family! Audrie had a blast opening all of her gifts!! I just wish it hadn't gone by so fast! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday as well!! Now, on to 2011! I still can't believe another year has already passed! The older I get, the faster it seems to go!! Does it seem that way to anyone else??!!

I went Christmas shopping with a dear friend this weekend. We stopped to eat at Cheddars in The Woodlands, and this is what we saw on the overpass of 45. A Firefighter had passed away earlier in the week, and this was part of his tribute!! It was totally amazing! The guy on the firetruck right below the flag was looking up with his hand over his heart! It gave me goosebumps! Thank you to all who serve for our protection!!!

I (along with 2 other mothers) hosted a Christmas party for Audrie's class at her school! The party went off without a hitch! (: Here they are doing their craft!

This weekend was a girls weekend!! Just me, Audrie, and YaYa! It was FAB!!! We headed out early Saturday to check out a local farm........

It's a Cowboy!!!

Saturday we hosted a baby shower for a dear friend of ours! She's having a boy (Bryson) who is due on Christmas Eve!! Their theme was cowboy, and EVERYTHING turned out SOO cute!!! :)

The diaper cake!!! It turned out gorgeous!! There was tons of stuff on the other side too, I just didn't get a picture of it!

The cake....baby "B" has his own brand (can you tell his parents are big cow people?!!) It's a backwards B, with an R coming off of it! His name is spelled out at the top with little sheriff badges!

Some of the food....we tried to give everything a "cowboy" themed name!! The "barbwire sticks" are pretzels, that we dipped half in chocolate!! They were a HUGE hit!

The food table.... I LOVED everything about it!! I am so happy with how the shower turned out!

The favors....we wrapped up some candy in bandana material...The tags read "Thanks for riding by Bryson's Shower"....a PERFECT addition!

Bryson's baby book....his NanNan and Papa Dan had made just for him!! The book is handmade from real leather (with his brand on the front) by a local friend of the Dad to be!!

Such a NEAT gift!!

The bucket of gifts that Bryson's Aunt made for him! SO cute!!

The Mother to be opening her diaper bag!! Can you tell by her face that she LOVED it!!! The whole bag unzips so that in an emergency you can lay it out and use it as a changing pad!!!

The whole shower was a success and I am so happy with how everything turned out!! Thanks to my Mom and Millie for co-hosting as well!!!

Baby Shower!

This past weekend my best friend and I hosted a baby shower for a good friend! She's due in November with a little boy, Joseph Cash! The theme was hunting (camo) and we tried to make almost everything!! This was our first crafty endeavor!! :) There were a few bumps along the road, but it all turned out great!

The GORGEOUS! burlap wreath with a moss "J" in the middle!! I LOVE how it turned out!!!

The baby's banner!! The picture isn't the greatest, but it was too cute!!! We debated over doing squares or triangles, but i'm super glad we went with square!

The "ABC" tree....

All of the guests took a letter, colored it, and then wrote their name/any advice on it! We bought a little cheapie photo album, and April created a (cute!) cover for it. When the shower was over we stuck all the letters in it, and now he has a super cool keepsake!!

And finally, the cupcakes!!! These were some trouble! But, we got it done, and that's all that counts!!! I loved it!!! We put "J's" on the top tier (for Joseph), "C's" on the middle tier (for Cash) and "S's" on the bottom for his last name!

Sarah got a TON of great stuff, and everyone was really impressed with all that we did!!! Now, we just have to wait to meet little JC!!

We had a blast doing all of this! I'm so happy for Sarah & Graham, and big brother Steven!! Now, I have to start working on stuff for the next shower i'm hosting in October!!! ACK! It's gonna be great! :)

We had a wonderful weekend, filled with family and friends! Audrie had a blast pretty much everyday!

My sweet little girl......

Saturday was spent hanging out with YaYa, and a birthday party that evening for her Paw Paw! They love her so much, and Audrie loves spending every moment she can with them!

Sunday was a relaxing day, we just hung out around the house. I cleaned and did laundry, and Audrie just played around and watched The Wonder Pets! She also went to a Birthday party for one of her friends Saturday afternoon! She got to go swimming, and boy she just couldn't stop talking about it!!! It makes my heart so happy to see her becoming her own person, with her own attitude, and her own feelings! I can't believe she is growing up so fast!!! Looking forward to this weekend, I get to have a girl's day out with my bestie and another good friend! Should be fun! Have a great week! (:

I found this diaper cake on Etsy (ggsdiaper10)....and I LOVE it!!! So, this will probably be used for a main centerpiece....pending the bestie's approval of course....

Bathroom Craft!!

Our master bath is BLAH!! I finally painted it after living in our home for TWO YEARS!! :) Yeah, i'm a little slow..... So after my best friend gave me some "scrap" wood I knew I had to do something.... Our bathroom is a beach theme, so I knew I wanted it to match that!

TAADAAA!!!!!

I just painted the wood the same color as one of the bathroom walls, freehanded the word "Shells" and here it is!! I just propped it up on top of some shells that I got from a friend. It's by no means perfect, but I like it!! Then I just added the framed "A" made out of shells (by my precious daughter) and it just completed the whole "beachey" (is that even a WORD??!!) look!

Simple, but cute!! Thats my kind of project! :)

I'm off to paint some more this weekend!!! I came across some great wood, now I just have to figure out what I'm going to make!! :)
